Shower and Frizzy Hair

Updated: Jun 21, 2018

Don't you just hate it when you get out of the shower and your hair looks a bit frizzy? We have heard complaints from persons that their hair looks dry after they shower and it is more than likely caused by improper coverage. Try these tips and realize better results...

1. Remember that plastic generates heat. This means if you just cover with the plastic shower cap you will unfortunately have condensation (water particles)settling underneath the cap which makes your hair frizzy and unmanageable.

2. If you have one of our satin headwear, make sure you put that on first and then put the plastic cap over it. If you do not have one of our satin headwear, make sure you put a satin or silky material on before the plastic cap. It is vital you do so.

Remember...

one of the WORST things you could do is to use a one of those irons during the week in between shampoos as they increase breakage and dryness.

3. . Make sure all your hair is tucked under. Whatever hair is exposed will get frizzy which means you may be tempted to use a curling or flat iron (heat) after. Remember, one of the WORST things you could do is to use a one of those irons during the week in between shampoos as they increase breakage and dryness when used often. So keep those hair tucked under.

4. When you are finished showering, remember there are particles of water in the air, otherwise known as humidity. This means that it will affect the texture of your hair so it is best to keep the satin wear on your head until most of these water particles have dissipated or is no longer in the bathroom. If you have a window, keep it open and the door too if possible.

Until Next Week,
